The Kingdom of the Lion

He was not a cruel or tyrannical ruler.

He issued a royal proclamation to all the animals.

He called for a grand assembly of every bird and beast.

The King proposed a universal league of amity and peace.

The Wolf and the Lamb agreed to live together.

The Panther and the Kid promised not to fight.

The Hare said he longed to sit with impunity beside the strong.

But right after saying this, the Hare ran away for his life.
